Some of our Key Findings
We collected responses from over 600+ members of our community, which represents a statistically significant portion of the global population of women in tech leading to some great insights.
Growth Potential
A significant portion of women in tech feel limited in their current roles, with 40% actively searching for expanded responsibilities or new career opportunities. Additionally, over 53% are already job hunting, driven largely by the need for more growth opportunities, leadership quality concerns, and dissatisfaction with company culture.
Equity Disparities
Equity is a major component of total compensation in tech, but 60% of women in the survey reported receiving no equity. For those who do receive it, equity is a significant contributor to wealth creation, with some employees receiving stock grants valued at $100k or more.
Networking And Mentorship
Across all education and seniority levels, "connections with colleagues" and mentorship emerged as critical factors in career advancement. This suggests that while technical skills are important, building strong professional networks and receiving guidance from experienced leaders are equally vital for long-term career growth.
