Job DescriptionBoomi - Software Support Engineer – Backend Team  

Boomi is looking for an enthusiastic individual with a perfect blend of technical understanding and communication skills passionate for helping customers.  As a Boomi Software Support Engineer on the Triage Team, you enjoy working with customers, troubleshooting issues, and finding creative solutions to complex technical problems.   

Responsibilities  

Triage Team members are the catalysts to creating a world-class software support experience for Boomi customers.  Working via chat, phone, email, and Boomi’s Support Portal, you will engage with our customers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with Boomi’s IPaaS solutions while setting the priorities and driving the day-to-day activities of the Boomi Support Organization.  Working in a fast-paced environment, quickly adapting to changing priorities, and working across organizations are vital skills a Software Support Engineer on the Triage Team must possess.   

As a Boomi Software Support Engineer on the Backend Team, you will also work closely with other members of the Product Support Organization, Customer Engineering, Customer Success, and internal Business Operations Teams to prioritize work and drive problem resolution while effectively managing customer expectations.  

A Boomi Software Support Engineer on the Triage Team knows that to make our customers wildly successful, they need to be an expert in Boomi and a wide range of IT concepts. Still, they must also be a teacher detail-oriented and attentive to customer needs.  

As this is a customer-facing role, strong communication and presentation skills and customer empathy are paramount. You will need to be able to manage customer expectations, set priorities, and communicate complex technical issues across a broad audience with technical and non-technical backgrounds.    

The ideal candidate will be a decisive troubleshooter, have a passion for helping customers, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.  

Requirements:  

Working hours are Monday – Friday, 9:30am-6:30 pm IST.  

Willingness to work a rotating shift, if needed  

Strong presentation and communication skills  

Detail-oriented, attentive, and empathetic to customer needs  

Desire to work with customers daily  

Ability to excel in a face-paced environment  

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on being able to summarize and articulate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences  

Willingness and ability to be on-call  

A passion for solving customer problems using your refined communication skills to coach and train customers  

Practical experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting software applications running on the Cloud.  Preferred experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)  

Knowledge of and practical experience working with software applications running on Linux and Windows.

Strong understanding and experience with API/MDH.  

Fundamental understanding of JVMs   

Practical understanding of basic networking concepts and protocols such as Firewalls, Load Balancers, TLS, HTTP/S, SSL, TCP/IP, S/FTP  

Preferred experience with programming and scripting languages

What you’ll achieve:

The Global Payroll Manager will lead the global payroll team, manage payroll processes across diverse geographic regions, and ensure compliance with country-specific regulations. The role will require collaboration with HR, Finance, and external vendors and an eye for process optimization and best practices.

Your Role:

  • Oversee global payroll operations across all regions, ensuring timely, accurate payroll processing.
  • Manage and review payroll calculations, tax deductions, benefits, and other withholdings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all country-specific regulations.
  • Manage and review payroll accounting and close tasks: monthly accrue. Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Stay current with local, state, and international payroll laws and regulations; ensure payroll processes meet all legal standards.
  • Manage payroll audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance and improve processes.
  • Ensure appropriate payroll records are maintained in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Identify and implement improvements in payroll processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Evaluate and implement payroll software or other technology solutions to streamline operations.
  • Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures documentation, ensuring consistency across all regions.
  • Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers to ensure cost-effective, high-quality service.
  • Assist HR in selecting and implementing a global HRIS system.

Your Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years in payroll management, with at least 5 years in a global payroll capacity.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., Rippling, ADP, Workday), advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with HRIS and financial software.
  • Solid understanding of multi-country payroll compliance, including tax, social security, and labor law requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex payroll issues to a diverse audience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing teams across multiple locations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,000-$150,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
