Should I Stay or Should I Go? — Key Takeaways from Grace Fabian Vigeant

Gaining clarity on the next step in your career and life starts with managing stress, staying creative, and focusing on what truly matters. By aligning with your purpose, working in your zone of genius, and letting go of what drains you, you create space to grow—whether that’s in your current role or a new one. Trust both logic and emotion to guide your decisions, and take small, intentional actions to build confidence and momentum.

Sustainability

Manage stress and creativity right now

  1. Reconnect with your purpose – Regularly reflect on what truly drives and fulfills you, aligning your work and life with your deeper values and aspirations.
  2. Focus on your zone of genius – Spend more time operating in the space where your unique talents, passions, and strengths intersect, maximizing impact and satisfaction.
  3. Remove or reduce the rest – Eliminate or delegate tasks that drain your energy or don't align with your strengths, creating more space for meaningful work.
  4. Cultivate your non-work identity – Nurture hobbies, relationships, and interests outside of work to maintain balance, resilience, and a strong sense of self.
  5. Protect health & wellbeing rituals – Prioritize sleep, nutrition, movement, and mindfulness to sustain long-term energy, creativity, and overall well-being.

Wise Mind

Use reason and emotion to explore your next chapter

  1. Consult your emotion → Here’s a guide to go deeper
  2. I feel energized when…
  3. I feel drained when…

Consult your logical, fact-based, and rational side—the part of you that excels at planning. Imagine you’re standing on one side of a river, and your dream job is waiting on the other. To successfully reach it, consider:

  1. I need X to take the first step off the shore – The initial action that gets you moving (e.g., applying for jobs, preparing for an interview).
  2. I need Y to safely cross the river – The essential skills, experience, or resources that will help you navigate challenges along the way.
  3. I need Z to thrive on the other side – The key factors that ensure long-term success and stability once you’ve arrived (e.g., salary, benefits, work-life balance).

Experiments

Take actions that build confidence and momentum

  1. I wonder… will pivoting from X to Y make me more fulfilled?
  2. So I will… connect with 3 people who’ve done Y for awhile
  3. So that… I can get the low-down on what it’s really like

If you’re craving more direction and momentum, I invite you to book a free exploration chat with Grace. She’ll dive deeper into your goals (even if that goal is, “figure out what I want to do!”), and discuss what it will take to get there.

Wishing you clarity, confidence, and full belief in your capability

Onward!
