Job Description
Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for an experienced Chief Compliance Officer to join the Compliance team in our Dublin office. This role requires expertise in European regulation, specifically within algorithmic trading. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and capable of leading a team. A strong understanding of Irish and European regulation and market structure is essential, along with a working knowledge of European equity and derivative trading venue market rules. The role also demands effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
Responsibilities
- Actively liaise and communicate with the CBI
- Maintain compliance policies and procedures, develop new policies where applicable
- Routinely oversee the compliance program to ensure the firm is meeting its responsibilities
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and monitoring, report on findings and provide recommendations and implement changes where appropriate
- Act as a point of contact for the entity's regulator
- Respond to and/or review regulatory inquiries to ensure they are well written and consistent
- Complete regulatory filings and understand MiFID regulatory reporting requirements
- Review and/or supervise alerts generated by the surveillance system and advise on any changes to reports as required
- Develop and deliver compliance training
- Monitor regulatory developments and communicate applicable details to relevant teams within the group
- Provide compliance advice on trading and business initiatives
- Complete other ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level
- 10+ years of trading compliance experience
- Experience dealing with the Central Bank of Ireland is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with particular attention to detail, are required
- Ability to work independently with sound judgement
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects
- Must be comfortable working in a technical environment
