We are in search of an exceptional individual with a proven track record in leadership and management to oversee our Data Center Facility Engineering team.
In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development and management of a team responsible for the infrastructure operations of our data center facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Responsibilities:
- Lead the hiring, management, and development of the operations management team, including facilities managers, chief engineering managers, and engineering operations technicians.
- Achieve organizational performance goals and objectives related to safety, security, availability, scaling, and efficiency in support of data center operations.
- Plan and execute the Infrastructure Operations component of new data center build-outs, colocation expansions, and CoreWeave data center expansions, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for CoreWeave data centers, encompassing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and change management.
- Manage vendor relationships with colocation data center services providers to ensure compliance with contracted performance SLAs.
- Implement and oversee a preventative maintenance system, ensuring adherence to schedules and evaluating the performance of infrastructure supporting data center operations.
- Demonstrate experience in successful insourcing and/or outsourcing of specific maintenance tasks, balancing internal skillsets with cost-effectiveness.
- Lead safety, security, and availability incident response, incident management, and incident resolution efforts.
- Drive continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.
Experience:
- 10 + years proven experience in leadership and management roles, particularly in facilities engineering or data center operations.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Strong understanding of data center IT infrastructure and facilities infrastructure, with the ability to effectively integrate and manage both.
- Experience in planning and executing data center expansions and build-outs, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure.
- Proficiency in vendor management, including negotiation and management of service level agreements.
- Track record of implementing and improving preventive maintenance systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability of data center infrastructure.
- Experience in incident response and resolution, with a focus on safety, security, and availability.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000-$225,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Hybrid Workplace
Successful candidates will be expected to attend onboarding training at our NJ Headquarters within their first several weeks of employment, with subsequent quarterly travel requirements of 1 week duration.
