Junior QA Engineer

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 plus equity. Comprehensive benefits package included.

Minimum Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 

Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. We cannot sponsor work visas at this time.

Location: 100% Remote

The Opportunity: We're seeking a detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer to join our team. If you have a passion for finding defects, ensuring product quality, and working in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity to start your QA career.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform manual testing on web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure functionality meets requirements.
  • Create and execute test cases based on product specifications and user stories.
  • Document and track defects using our bug tracking system, providing clear and concise information for developers.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in test planning and contribute to the development of test strategies.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. 
  • Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with bug-tracking systems such as Jira or Bugzilla. 
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
