Job Description
Title: Product Content Designer IV (Senior Content Designer)
Location: Remote (Preference for candidates on the West Coast, US)
Duration: 6 Months
Compensation: $55-$75/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skillset / Experience:
Product Content Designer IV
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Content Designer to support the platform team responsible for powering mixed reality headsets. This role will focus on delivering user-centered content solutions for developer-facing tools and resources. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners including product managers, engineers, and researchers to create content that helps developers build immersive Mixed Reality experiences.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing content for developer-facing experiences
- Collaborating across disciplines to understand developer needs
- Following and contributing to content standards, style guides, and tone guidelines
- Supporting user research with content assets
- Ensuring content accessibility and legal compliance
- Optimizing content for discoverability and continuously improving through feedback and metrics
Required Skills:
- 6+ years in content design or similar, specifically for technical/developer audiences
- Background in Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience creating technical documentation or developer platform content
- Excellent writing/editing skills and ability to explain complex technical topics clearly
- Proficiency with Figma
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and prioritization skills
- A portfolio highlighting content work for developer or technical tools
Nice to Have:
- Experience with content management systems
- Understanding of SEO best practices
- Background in usability testing or user research
- Familiarity with developer communities
- Experience writing content for cloud-based services or platforms
