At Hudson River Trading (HRT), we program computers to intelligently trade on the stock market, and make the world’s markets more financially efficient using smart algorithms. Algo Engineers (AEs) are programmers who develop the software that powers our trading and research. They are the type of engineers that thrive on constant interaction and discussion, and they don’t mind juggling a few projects at once – from long-term new system roll-outs to fire-fighting live issues. 

We’re looking for an Algo Engineer to join our high frequency trading team here in New York. In this role, you will join a team that's embedded in our HFT business and will be tasked with building and maintaining critical trading infrastructure and research tooling to optimize our high frequency effort across major global exchanges.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with researchers and traders to build and expand our high frequency trading platform and research environment
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of our research tools
  • Participate in projects to accelerate our trading strategy implementation and deployment, improve our backtesting infrastructure, and automate and improve our trade management
  • Manage codebase quality and build out and maintain critical data pipelines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Advanced C++ experience is required (daily use preferred)
  • Experience collaborating closely with quantitative researchers & traders required
  • Experience working on a HFT system required

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for an IT Operations Engineer to join the IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical support of HRTers globally. You will partner with IT management to deliver on projects, meet SLAs, and improve internal processes.

This individual will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have terrific communication and collaboration skills. Responsibilities

Hudson River Trading is hiring a Technical Product Manager to join our small but growing Technical Product Management team! You will impact how teams within HRT strategically collaborate to drive the company forward and help create the future of trading. Responsibilities will involve debugging and programming for our highly technical user base, so a CS degree or significant programming experience is required to succeed in this role.

Our Algorithmic Development (Algo) team builds the predictive models and strategies that drive our trading. Our highly-skilled engineers write the libraries and tools that the Algo team uses to generate and back-test strategies  in our distributed compute cluster. As our Product Manager, you will be responsible for the success and improvement of the tools that support development, research, and trading at HRT (the "products"), help set long-term vision and strategy for selective products, and collaborate with the Software Development team to meet the needs of both Algo and Engineering teams (the "users").

Responsibilities

  • You will dig deeply into the Algo team’s user experience and workflows to determine which new tools or improvements to existing tools will be the most impactful to HRT.
  • You will collect information on the Algo team’s requirements through surveys, conversations, feedback sessions, and automated reporting. You will become adept at anticipating the needs of HRT’s Algo Developers.

Algorithm Developers are responsible for building and maintaining the models that drive our trading. A typical day involves applying rigorous statistical analysis to vast quantities of market and financial data to produce provably predictive trading models.
