Role overview
CarOffer is seeking a skilled and experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join its engineering team. Our engineering team is at the forefront of developing world-class solutions in the automotive space, specifically tailored for used car dealerships. We are committed to revolutionizing the industry by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible, creating systems that not only meet the current demands of the market but also anticipate future needs. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for supporting our AWS services, modernizing our CI/CD pipelines, and implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) practices. Additionally, you will help us build resilient and scalable DevOps solutions, introduce containerization technologies, and manage our Elasticsearch, Snowflake, and dbt cloud instances.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform.
- Collaborate with our development teams to modernize and optimize our CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or AWS ECS to improve application deployment and scalability.
- Design and implement resilient and scalable DevOps solutions leveraging AWS services such as Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Amazon S3, and AWS Lambda.
- Manage and optimize our Elasticsearch, Snowflake, and dbt cloud instances to ensure high performance and availability.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand technical requirements and create effective solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
- Continuously improve our DevOps processes and practices, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS solutions.
- Strong understanding of AWS services and best practices, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing AWS solutions.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK or Terraform.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or AWS CodeBuild (we do use Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Elasticsearch, Snowflake, and dbt Cloud is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
