Job Description
The Lead Marketing Operations Analyst is a strategic role responsible for overseeing the operational infrastructure that supports the marketing organization. This individual will drive efficiency, enhance scalability, and optimize performance across marketing programs and processes. Initially an Individual Contributor role, the Lead Analyst will help establish the Marketing Operations function at Movable Ink in collaboration with various organizational stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Operations Leadership:
- In partnership with the Marketing Organization, develop and lead the creation and execution of the Marketing Operations roadmap in support of MI’s marketing strategy
- Collaborate with GTM teams (Marketing, Sales, CX) & Revenue Operations to provide the technology and operational expertise necessary to ensure MI’s marketing efforts have clear, measurable ROI
Process Optimization:
- Partner with MI’s Marketers to plan, execute, and measure campaigns. Create scalable processes to manage a growing amount of marketing activity
- Identify and address inefficiencies in MI’s current marketing flows; recommending new tools and processes to streamline operations
- Automate recurring tasks to improve team productivity and reduce errors
Technology and Tools:
- In partnership with Business systems & Revenue Operations (where appropriate), support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of MI’s marketing technology stack (e.g., CRM integration(s), marketing automation platforms, analytics tools, etc)
- Act as the primary partner for MI’s Marketing organization in the evaluation of new technologies in support of MI’s business objectives
- Ensure MI’s marketing tools maintain levels of data integrity and security that meet the standards set by MI’s InfoSec organization
Performance Measurement and Reporting:
- In partnership with Data Analytics & Engineering, define KPIs, analyze performance, and deliver strategic insights on marketing effectiveness and ROI
- Build and maintain a robust lead scoring and routing engine to ensure prospects follow the ideal journey according to their needs
- Provide regular reports and dashboards to stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations for improvement
- Lead marketing attribution and forecasting efforts to support strategic planning
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary analytical liaison between GTM leadership, Marketing leads, Business Operations and Finance
- Support the integration of Marketing efforts with Sales and Ops initiatives, driving collaboration between teams
- Foster strong relationships with external vendors and partners to enhance operational capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in marketing operations, supporting the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns in a B2B environment
- Strong understanding of Marketing Data & Analytics best practices, particularly with operational data pipelines and flows, and leveraging data to drive campaign segmentation and journey orchestration & decisioning
- Expert knowledge of Marketing & Revenue systems including Marketo (required), SFDC, Cognism, etc
- Experience with SQL, ETL/Data Pipelines, Excel, and BI tools
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS coding and technical workflows related to email templating and landing page creation; Strong experience creating complex and dynamic email campaigns with personalization and dynamic content.
- Expertise in implementing modern B2B demand gen strategies including ABM and Signal-based selling
- Strong collaboration skills, comfortable leading and collaborating in dynamic environments and driving cross-functional alignment
The base pay range for this position is $145,000-$170,000/year, which can include additional on-target commission pay/bonus. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options and other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position ultimately offered.
