Job Description

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a dynamic Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our Communications & Creative Team. In this role, you’ll collaborate across teams to develop and execute messaging that elevates our internal and external communications, strengthens our employer brand, and streamlines operational workflows.

As a Marketing and Communications Specialist, you will not only manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for creative initiatives but also apply your writing expertise to ensure all communications meet the highest editorial standards. You will work closely with the People Ops team to ensure all communications reflect HRT’s values and contribute to the engagement and development of our global workforce. With a balance of strong editorial skills and project management expertise, you’ll ensure that resources are effectively allocated, and deadlines are consistently met.

The ideal candidate has a proven ability to manage both creative content and detailed project workflows, especially with technical subject matter. You should excel at producing well-crafted communications, managing multiple projects, and collaborating across teams. You should also  thrive in an environment that demands precision in both execution and strategy. Attention to detail, organizational strength, and the ability to handle fast-paced, multifaceted work are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Work with multiple teams, managing logistics and timelines for communications projects that require input across different teams
  • Manage the communications and creative pipeline keeping track of projects with a high attention to detail, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout
  • Copy edit internal communications
  • Develop content that effectively communicates complex technical concepts, for both internal and external audiences
  • Respond quickly to spontaneous requests from stakeholders
  • Drive technical content deliverables while navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide quick turnaround times for projects, fulfilling requests with a high sense of urgency
  • Assist with photo and video shoots as needed, managing production timelines and documentation
  • Assist with management of the firm’s media archive, including labeling and curating content

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in English, Communications, or related degree
  • 5+ years experience, ideally as an account manager or content strategist in an agency or technology setting
  • Proficient in Google Workspace with a strong focus on creating automations and streamlining workflows for greater efficiency
  • Canva and Adobe Creative Suite knowledge a plus
  • Articulate communicator with outstanding writing skills
  • Meticulous in ensuring clarity and consistency, while staying aligned with brand guidelines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful

Annual base salary range of $100,000 to $140,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. A sign-on and discretionary performance bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to company-paid medical and/or other benefits.
