Role Overview

The Manager, Field Sales - West is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing sales team at the individual level. The Manager, Field Sales – West will be responsible for contributing to and executing the strategic direction as set forth by the Director, Field Sales and VP of Sales. The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced sales environment with high-growth expectations concentrating on ever increasing complicated product offerings. The Sales Manager will own a segment of the business, and will be responsible to delivering against sales targets, while contributing to the successful rollout of new products to existing customers, renewal of existing customers and acquisition of new customer partnerships.

  • Directly manage, coach, and develop a 6-person field sales team regionalized within the continental US.

Within the Consumer Marketing team, the Performance Marketing team is responsible for driving multimillion-dollar traffic acquisition campaigns aimed at continuing strengthening our position as a top online car shopping website. We’re looking for a highly-analytical and self-motivated individual to join our team at CarGurus.

The FP&A team is looking to hire an experienced, highly motivated Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, to help shape the future of CarOffer. As the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will partner with the CarOffer team in driving decision-making and results through detailed financial analysis and modeling. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, this specialized role will closely collaborate with the Go-To-Market (GTM) team, along with other departments, to support the company’s strategic objectives while keeping costs predictable. Your goal is to develop a deep understanding of the organization and partner with leaders to align financial goals and help drive performance. What you'll do

  • Fully manage GTM P&L including topline revenue metrics, resource allocation, headcount, and Opex management for key sales functions by partnering with business leaders; assist where needed with pricing, packaging, and creation of new dealer models.
  • Serve as a cross-functional finance business partner organization and handle departmental headcount, budget, and development and tracking of meaningful critical metrics to measure efficiencies and return on investment analysis.
  • Work closely with the Revenue operations team to design, build, and implement a new revenue planning tool, support quota/commission planning, and analyze results of quota carrying sales representatives.
  • Create and support development of Board of Directors presentations, new executive dashboards, and new KPIs. Create executive review materials that consolidate and communicate financial and operational strategy.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of business operations/drivers to independently perform profitability analysis for new and existing business opportunities; present findings to senior management.
  • Create, develop and implement repeatable business, operational and financial processes, partnering closely with the accounting team, to identify key areas of improvement for maximum efficiency.
  • Perform and support ad-hoc requests, including corporate initiatives and reporting.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related major required.
  • Prior experience: 7-10 years of FP&A, finance business partnering, and/or consulting.
  • Exceptional quantitative and financial modeling with high proficiency in Excel, G-Suite applications, and BI tools; Adaptive Insights and NetSuite experience a plus.
  • Ability to thrive and multi-task in a rapidly evolving, fast-paced environment; start-up or experience developing new models and processes is strongly preferred

  • Manage Technology Stack: Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of the Customer Success technology stack, ensuring it meets team needs, performs optimally, and integrates smoothly with existing workflows.

Experience:

  • Customer Success Expertise: Minimum of 2 years in Customer Success, with proven experience in building and scaling operations, developing efficient workflows, and implementing one-to-many (tech-touch) strategies. Strong understanding of customer journey mapping and best practices in a dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree: In a relevant field such as Business Administration, Customer Relationship Management, or a related area.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in selecting, implementing, and managing the Customer Success tech stack, including tools like Pendo, Zendesk, or other CRM and customer engagement platforms. Skilled at identifying the right tools to enhance efficiency and drive customer success and successfully integrating them into overall operations.
  • Process Improvement: Experience in designing and leading the implementation of new processes, with a focus on operationalizing them within a team or organization.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Proficient in using advanced data analytics platforms to create dashboards and leverage KPIs for executive reporting, strategic decision-making, and continuous improvement.
  • Training and Development: Experience in developing and delivering training programs to ensure team members are well-versed in new processes, tools, or customer success strategies.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex issues to a range of audiences, from team members to senior leadership, through well-crafted presentations and discussions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,000-$135,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The Business Development Representative’s goal is to fill the Sales team’s pipeline with qualified opportunities. The BDR role is instrumental in the success and growth of the business and gives individuals ample opportunity to use your personality & creative/strategic thinking abilities to directly influence conversations with our prospects. The BDR role is designed to provide individuals with hands-on experience in a fast-paced start-up environment where things are constantly changing and evolving. Success in this role will lead to internal opportunities in Sales, Client Experience, Marketing, Partnerships, Strategic Accounts, etc. within 12-24 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new relationships through email, LinkedIn and phone communications in order to establish meetings with senior level decision makers in companies that could benefit from Movable Ink’s solutions
  • Assess the prospect's needs, identify and build upon pain points, explain Movable Ink solutions, and qualify/disqualify prospects on introduction/discovery calls and meetings to then hand off for your Account Executive to begin the sales process
