Job Description
CoreWeave is seeking a Staff Accountant who is excited about taking on new challenges and focused on professional growth. The right candidate will have exposure to every aspect of CoreWeave’s accounting function and meet month-end close deadlines.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Own the full Accounts Payable (AP) cycle including but not limited to: Work with procurement and interact with vendors on credit term negotiation, process daily vendor invoices, process ACH, wire payment, review AP aging and address any issues.
- Review credit card spending in the expense reporting tool RAMP to ensure correct coding: accounts, cost centers, ensure company expense policy is followed.
- Review, match and reconcile daily bank transactions, book JE as needed.
- Prepare monthly expense accrue journal entries.
- Work with procurement to monitor PO status: goods receipts, and invoice receipts.
- Work closely with Fixed Assets team on data center fixed assets ledger management through the acquisition, disposition, and depreciation cycles.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation across the bank accounts, corporate credit card, and prepaid expense accounts, among others
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights on financial status and performance.
- Assist with annual financial statements audit, prepare supporting schedules and documentation.
- Review transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment and allocation of expenses to various departments.
- Assisting with development and operation of internal controls to ensure effective operation.
- Perform various analysis and ad hoc projects as required.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
- Combination of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry experience with accounts payable and general ledger.
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), practices and procedures (CPA preferred).
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and be able to work effectively with departments throughout the organization.
- Experience and strong understanding of internal control.
- Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment, and continuously evolving to meet changing business needs.
- Quick learner and problem solver when faced with new issues or challenges.
- NetSuite experience a plus.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,000-$85,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Hybrid Workplace
Successful candidates will be expected to attend onboarding training at our NJ Headquarters within their first several weeks of employment, with subsequent quarterly travel requirements of 1 week duration.
