- CarGurus offers traditional and Roth 401K plans through Fidelity with automatic enrollment after 30 days.
- We match 50 cents of every dollar of your 401K contributions up to 8% of your eligible compensation. You're 50% vested after one year of employment, 100% vested after two.
- We offer Restricted stock units (RSUs) to new hires, subject to time-based vesting tied to employment. These are subject to time-based vesting tied to employment, and Gurus have the potential to earn more RSUs through retention programs and eligible promotions.

How We Work
Our hybrid model gives Gurus flexibility to integrate work and life. Perks like a $15 a day lunch subsidy, paid commuter fees, and pop-up events make in-office time easy to enjoy. Many CG teams have regular, in-person all-hands meetings at which they share updates, celebrate success, recognize individual contributions, and discuss what's to come.
How We Pay
Compensation at CarGurus generally consists of two main components—base pay/salary and variable cash (such as bonus and/or commission). We strive to pay competitively for our markets and to ensure our approach is equitable, consistent, and fair. Conducting regular audits, and working with external vendors that specialize in compensation practices at tech companies, helps us get the data and perspective we need to reach this goal.

All CarGurus employees get company equity in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs) when they start, and strong performers may get more as they continue to grow with us. RSUs vest at a rate of 25% a year for 4 years.

Some employees have generated extra income through our referral bonus program, and by taking leadership roles in one of our Employee Resource Groups or in our Diversity Advisory Council. We also offer many benefits that save you money or put it back in your pocket, like a $15 a day lunch stipend in the office, tuition reimbursement up to $10K; our Auto Perk credit of $1,250 toward a car; a commuter benefit that covers most if not all of your commuting expenses.

Role overview

CarOffer is revolutionizing the automotive wholesale industry with cutting-edge technology and data-driven solutions. As a Regional Performance Manager, you will be responsible for driving dealer performance, optimizing platform utilization, and ensuring our partners achieve maximum success using CarOffer’s solutions. This role focuses on analyzing dealer engagement, improving operational efficiency, and collaborating with internal teams to drive growth and retention. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the automotive wholesale marketplace.

What you'll do

Dealer Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor dealer engagement and performance metrics across the region.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize dealer success on the CarOffer platform.
  • Identify underperforming dealers and execute action plans to improve adoption and transaction volume.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to dealer partners to optimize their inventory strategy.

Operational Execution & Best Practices

  • Ensure dealers are effectively utilizing CarOffer’s buying and selling tools.
  • Virtual training sessions on platform best practices.
  • Assist dealers in refining their pricing, inventory acquisition, and sales strategies using CarOffer’s data insights.
  • Work closely with internal teams to streamline processes and enhance the dealer experience.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Track and analyze dealer performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop reports and present insights to leadership on regional dealer activity.
  • Utilize CarOffer’s analytics tools to drive data-informed decisions that enhance dealer performance.

Relationship Management & Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary performance contact for dealers in the assigned region.
  • Foster strong relationships with key dealer partners to ensure long-term success.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Support, and Product teams to address dealer needs and feedback.
  • Represent CarOffer at industry events and dealer meetings to drive brand awareness and engagement.

What you'll bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Automotive Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years in automotive wholesale, dealership operations, performance management, or a related role (required).
  • Strong understanding of dealer inventory management, vehicle pricing, and wholesale market dynamics.

What you’ll do

Support product and engineering teams for CarGurus’ online retail experience. Duties include: utilize SQL expertise, conduct exploratory empirical analyses that bridge disparate data sources to quantify product performance, user behavior, and/or market trends; distill unstructured “big data” into actionable insights; review A/B experimentation, advising engineers, and product managers on requisite data points to collect, required sample sizes, optimal metrics to examine, robustness of numerical findings, and the bottom-line success or failure of the tested changes; provide technical guidance on and ideas for improving A/B testing-related tools, algorithms, and automated processes; advocate for specific, data-driven product innovations that help further high-level company strategy, primarily in partnership with the Product/Engineering teams; participate in brainstorming and planning discussions across the organization to these ends; generate metrics to measure business success, condensing abstract or loosely-defined challenges down to concrete calculations; Build intuitive dashboards and other visual monitoring tools to guide daily decision-making by senior stakeholders and the company at large; communicate and present complex quantitative findings in easily digestible terms to company leadership, homing in on key takeaways; create new data assets and build automated transformations to bring them to fruition; and partner with Data Engineering teams to advance core data modeling/architecture (e.g. user clickstream logging), by optimizing, integrating, and distilling large raw datasets and metadata. Who You Are:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field and completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in each of the following: SQL; Statistical programming, including R, Stata, SAS or Python; core statistical concepts, including regression, significance testing, omitted variable bias, and independence/dependence; data visualization platforms, including PowerBI; and Data analytics, including data modeling and analysis of user behavior.

What you’ll do

Perform software engineering duties in a fast-moving, data-driven environment to  improve search experience and performance. What you’ll do

Perform software engineering duties in a fast-moving, data-driven environment to  improve search experience and performance. What you’ll do

Support product and engineering teams for CarGurus’ online retail experience. The Field Account Manager (FAM) collaborates with our Enterprise dealer partners to manage post-sale dealership onboarding and to then provide continuous support throughout the customer lifecycle. We are looking for a Product Data Analyst to join our Consumer team which tackles a complex data environment, building out data assets, running experiments, and many more unstructured analytics tasks to support the core listings business.  

  

Our Product Data Analytics org as a whole supports our Product and Engineering teams, providing the final word on all analytics for CarGurus’ user and dealer experiences.   • Using your SQL expertise, conduct exploratory empirical analyses that bridge disparate data sources (e.g. website usage, subscription records, inventory volumes, etc.) to quantify product performance, user behavior, and/or market trends.
