Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for a temporary Recruiting Coordinator to join our global Recruiting team for 6-12 months. In this role, you will be a scheduling and logistics guru responsible for providing a first-class interview experience for both candidates and internal stakeholders. You will join a small team dedicated to overseeing all operational aspects of hiring awesome people, and you will partner closely with recruiters to manage candidate flow across numerous teams.

This team builds and maintains an exceptionally large and growing distributed compute cluster, a petabyte-scale storage layer, operating systems, automation software, and development tools. Much of our hardware layer and operating system layer reflect the state-of-the-art at any given time.  

  

We are looking for an experienced Database SRE with solid Linux systems engineering skills. You’ll be at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining HRT’s diverse production database infrastructure, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability. This is a job for an engineer looking to make a real difference working with a small, focused team of like-minded database and systems engineers. 

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain HRT’s SQL and NoSQL database infrastructure, supporting a globally distributed trading infrastructure and extending to large-scale research
  • Configure and scale PostgreSQL and MySQL servers for trade-critical, real-time workflows
  • Investigate and improve performance of PostgreSQL and MySQL queries and supporting infrastructure (Debian Linux)

We know you see "Trading" in our name and assume you'll be relegated to some dark corner to code for the "business" but this impression is entirely wrong. As a Product Control Analyst, you’ll be responsible for supporting day-to-day activities of the Product Control team related to the reconciliation of trading activity. Through this, you will develop an understanding of the monthly financial process and gain valuable insights into the wide range of functions performed by our Product Control team.

This role requires extremely close teamwork and collaboration within the Product Control team. The ideal candidate is proactive with a keen interest in Finance/Accounting/Trading.

All Sourcegraph teammates code to better understand our users and customers and to do their job better (in ways that make sense for their role). Our long-term mission is to make it so everyone codes, not just the 0.1% of the world’s population who are devs—just like universal literacy.
