Role Overview

As a core member of the Pricing & Packaging team, this role will play a key part in developing pricing & packaging strategies that help meaningfully grow revenue at CarGurus. This role will be responsible for identifying and designing value-based pricing strategies across our diverse product portfolio and for working closely with cross-functional teams to test and launch these new pricing approaches.

What you'll do

​

• Lead the design of value-based pricing and packaging strategies that align with customer needs and business objectives
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research, competitive assessments and product usage analysis to inform pricing decisions
• Design and execute thorough quantitative analyses using statistical techniques such as regression to reach pricing, packaging, segmentation and discounting recommendations
• Collaborate with the sales, marketing, finance, product, and engineering departments to help translate recommendations into actions that help grow the business

What you'll bring

​

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in an analytical and strategic role across management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking or analytics. Direct pricing & packaging experience a plus
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. Able to break down ambiguous problems and apply a first principles approach to solving them
• Advanced technical skill set. Proficient in both SQL and Excel and comfortable applying statistical techniques such as regression and trend analysis to uncover actionable insights from large data sets
• Strong communicator. You are able to articulate data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Highly autonomous and self-directed, with the ability to drive projects from conception to execution in a fast-paced environment

As a Product Designer on the User Experience team, you’ll impact our organization and the ease of use of our platform. Your work will make it more useful, usable, accessible, and desirable across our various service areas. We’re looking for a passionate and curious UX generalist to join our growing User Experience practice as a key supporting member of 1-2 product teams. If you are a research-driven product designer with strong verbal and visual communication skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented spirit, we want to hear from you!

You’ll be essential to ensuring that our product solutions are optimized for customer needs, positioning users for success in attaining their goals through Boomi. This role reports to the Manager of UX/Product Design. You’ll collaborate closely with other Product Designers, as well as UX Researchers, Content Strategists, and Technical Writers within our UX Organization. We pride ourselves on being a fluid, collaborative, cross-functional team, and you’ll also be working closely with Product Owners, Quality Engineers, and Developers.

• Translate business requirements and technological concepts to elegant product design solutions, with minimal guidance from UX Leads
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX researchers, product managers, and engineers, within a Product Triad model to deliver cohesive user experiences
• Collaborate with UX researchers to plan and execute user research activities, leveraging findings to inform evidence-based design solutions

The Experience You Bring

• Work samples and/or case studies showcasing how you work through the process and the outcome of those efforts
• 2+ years of professional experience designing complex systems or products; experience contributing to or leading design initiatives is a plus
• Familiarity with qualitative research methods, and ability to design evidence-based solutions
• Familiarity with Accessibility principles and an understanding of WCAG 2 standards for UX/product design
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS, with an awareness of modern frameworks like React; technical expertise is not required but valued
