Company Overview

====================

Deepgram is a foundational AI company on a mission to transform human-machine interaction using natural language. We give any developer access to the fastest, most powerful voice AI platform including access to models for speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and spoken language understanding with just an API call. From transcription to sentiment analysis to voice synthesis, Deepgram is the preferred partner for builders of voice AI applications.

We will be accepting applications until September 20th

What this role is about

Are you passionate about improving workplace productivity through AI tools? As an early member of this 0->1 team, you will have high autonomy and ownership.  If you thrive in dynamic environments, want to shape our product and technical roadmap, and love data-driven decision making, we want to hear from you. This startup within a startup is just getting started and you will make a big impact.

What you will do

  • Develop and deploy Mac, Windows, and Linux desktop applications using Typescript, C++, Swift, and AWS
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on experimental AI productivity features and voice-enabled automation tools.
  • Collaborate with product and design to create and execute a vision for using Deepgram’s APIs to help knowledge workers

This is what we will test you on

  • Experience as an early start-up engineer or technical co-founder with experience building a 0->1 product
  • 5+ years work experience as a software engineer
  • Experience building desktop applications or iOS Apps
  • Experience with AWS or similar Cloud Service Providers
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a resource-constrained, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Eagerness to take ownership of deployed codebases
  • Ability to collect success metrics and make data-driven decisions around product improvements

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating AI models into end user applications
  • Experience with C++ or Swift
  • Experience with desktop voice capture, Mac audio API’s, and voice API’s

Why this role isn’t for you

  • You haven’t built a 0 to 1 product
  • You don’t have the right amount of experience
  • You need the structure and resources of a larger company to produce
  • You’re not comfortable having tough product conversations

Backed by prominent investors including Y Combinator, Madrona, Tiger Global, Wing VC and NVIDIA, Deepgram has raised over $85 million in total funding after closing our Series B funding round last year. If you're looking to work on cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact in the AI industry, we'd love to hear from you!

Deepgram is an equal opportunity employer. We want all voices and perspectives represented in our workforce. We are a curious bunch focused on collaboration and doing the right thing. We put our customers first, grow together and move quickly. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status, pregnancy, parental status, genetic information, political affiliation, or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate.

We are happy to provide accommodations for applicants who need them.
